For each double exposure I took a picture that was taken in the studio and placed a nature scene either in front or behind the person who was photographed. For the double exposure, I chose to place a quote on the backdrop behind the model. For each, I made the overlaid picture transparent to an appropriate extent. Compositionally, the three exposures relation in that they're all depictions of nature over a model of choice. In each double exposure, I manipulated the overlaid photograph more so than the background picture. The overlaid picture was made to be transparent and then the background was adjusted in regards to its levels, like brightness and saturation. To unify the the modified image, I adjusted the transparency on the overlaid photograph then merged them into one layer on photoshop. Conceptually, I considered the rule of thirds, positioning of the model, and placement of the overlaid photograph when I took these images. These images suggest thought. Suggest someone who is deep in thought reminiscing about the past.
